Wilsonville, OR-January 24, 2005-The Software Association of Oregon (SAO), a professional organization of software companies dedicated to sustaining a healthy and strong software industry in Oregon, has named Rick Michaux, president of Corrigo, Inc., to its Board of Directors.
Michaux joins the SAO Board, comprised of 24 local software leaders, to help communicate excellence in Oregon's software technology and foster an environment that assists software companies start, move and grow. Software plays a key role in Oregon's innovation economy and can prove to be big business to Oregon.
Corrigo moved to Wilsonville from Redwood City, California in 3Q 2004 to take advantage of Oregon's technology talent pool and quality of living. A founder of Corrigo, Michaux has extensive experience in with start-up companies in wireless and telephony communications. He served as Director of Marketing for Motorola's Lexicus Division and was responsible for acquisitions, product and marketing management, marketing communications, business development, e-commerce and operations. Michaux has a Masters in Business Administration from Kellogg Graduate School of Management and an MA in East Asian Economics from George Washington University.
