Leading office and industrial real estate firm to deploy Corrigo's maintenance and customer service solution, CorrigoNet™, to increase tenant satisfaction, reduce maintenance costs and increase operational efficiencies

Release Date:

Redwood City, Calif., May 14, 2002 - Corrigo, Inc., the leading provider of mobile service management solutions for organizations with extensive installation, maintenance and repair functions, announced today that Highwoods Properties, Inc. (NYSE:HIW) will deploy Corrigo's mobile service management application, CorrigoNet, across its property portfolio.

Highwoods owns or has an interest in 594 office, industrial, retail and service center properties encompassing approximately 47.0 million square feet, including 18 development projects encompassing approximately 1.8 million square feet.  Highwoods is implementing Corrigo's Web-based maintenance and customer service solution in conjunction with Corrigo's wireless field management module to automate their service and maintenance processes.

"We were cautiously optimistic about the prospects of dramatically improving our work order management system when Corrigo presented to us last December. However, having now further immersed ourselves in the system's capabilities, benefits and potential ROI, Corrigo's work order management system has become a 2002 Top 5 Strategic Objective for Highwoods. CorrigoNet is key to our efforts to deliver differentiated levels of service to our customers and achieve industry leading levels of operational excellence," states Edward J. Fritsch, COO and Executive Vice President, Highwoods Properties Inc. "We believe this solution is as important to our success as anything else we do with technology."

In addition to the base CorrigoNet maintenance and customer service solution, Highwoods will deploy additional CorrigoNet modules, including customer relationship management, preventive maintenance, contract and warranty management, inventory control, vendor management, AR/AP handling, performance and management reporting, and wireless access.  Throughout the maintenance and service processes, the Corrigo KnowledgeBase™, the dynamic database supporting the entire CorrigoNet platform, will compile a wealth of operational data that will provide Highwoods Properties, Inc. with benchmark data that detail property and team performance - from a single property to their entire portfolio.

"Highwoods is clearly focused on the bottom line benefits from building an excellent service delivery process. This is just the type of customer we like, and we are pleased to working with such an industry leader." says Rick Michaux, president of Corrigo, Inc. "We were particularly impressed with Highwoods' intensive evaluation process."

Kevin Penn, Highwoods' Chief Information & Business Solutions Officer adds, "Because of the impact this software will have on our service to our customers, we took this selection process very seriously and conducted a rigorous analysis of our multiple options. We looked at options ranging from major ERP and CRM firms to traditional and new generation maintenance management systems. Corrigo's exceptional product and intense customer focus made them the clear leader. We are very pleased to be partnering with them to deploy this powerful solution."

The CorrigoNet application is offered on a sale basis or can be leased along with hosting and maintenance services. Highwoods Properties, Inc. has purchased the CorrigoNet solution and will deploy the application and services using their own staff and infrastructure, under the advisement and license of Corrigo, Inc.
